With a few mouse clicks tables and/or data are transferred to the destination database. A number of options for creating table structures and transferring data provide a perfect tool set for a safe, quick and cost effective transition to a new platform.

Connect to the source database (1) and display all tables in the source window (2).

Connect to the destination database (3) and display already existing tables (4).

Select tables in the source window and copy them to the transfer window (5) with selected default settings.

Set individual table options for the transfer.

Transfer tables (and/or data) to the destination database.

DBtrans gives you the option to either creating table structures or transferring data or both. During the transfer the progress is displayed in the progress window. Successfully completed transfers are displayed in the transfer window by changing the table name color from black to green. In case of warnings or errors the colour changes to red. Tables copied from the source window to the transfer window change from black to blue in the source window.

Individual transfer settings for each table assist you in solving problems:

Limit the number of rows for a test data transfer. - Save time by excluding long strings or by selecting only long strings for the transfer at a convenient time.
Create indices or test referential integrities independently and individually.
Create row indices in Microsoft SQL Server tables
Continue data transfer, but skip the number of rows already existing at the destination

The transfer can be interrupted instantly any time. General transfer options assist you in avoiding data losses and time consuming transfer procedures and writing all actions to a log file.

Two additional tools, SQL Wizard and SQL Console, both for a quick exploration of table structures and data and executing SQL statements are included free of charge.
